Job Description

We’re looking for an AI Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain reliable automation systems that solve real business problems.

You’ll work primarily with n8n, APIs, AI/LLM tools, databases, and third-party platforms to automate workflows across different parts of the business. This is a hands-on engineering role: you’ll be expected to understand the problem, design the workflow, build the solution, test it, and make sure it runs reliably in production.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build automation workflows using n8n

• Integrate third-party platforms through APIs, webhooks, and databases

• Build AI-powered workflows using LLMs and AI APIs

• Automate repetitive operational and business processes

• Transform, validate, and route data between different systems

• Build workflows involving triggers, conditional logic, loops, scheduling, and error handling

• Debug and troubleshoot failed or unreliable automations

• Monitor and maintain workflows running in production

• Improve existing automations for reliability, performance, and maintainability

• Document workflows and technical decisions clearly

• Work with the team to translate business requirements into practical automation solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Practical experience building workflows with n8n or similar automation platforms

• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and HTTP requests

• Understanding of authentication methods such as API keys, OAuth, and bearer tokens

• Ability to work with data from multiple systems and transform it as required

• Experience building software or automations that have been used in a real production environment

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Ability to understand a business process and translate it into a technical workflow

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects

• Good written and spoken English

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other LLM APIs

• Experience building AI agents, RAG workflows, or other AI-powered systems

• JavaScript or TypeScript experience

• Experience with SQL and relational databases

• Experience with tools such as Supabase, PostgreSQL, Airtable, Google Workspace, Slack, CRMs, or similar business platforms

• Familiarity with Git and software development workflows

• Experience deploying or maintaining automation infrastructure

• Understanding of security, credentials management, logging, and production monitoring

What Good Looks Like

You don’t just connect a few nodes and call it an automation. You think about what happens when an API fails, data is missing, credentials expire, a workflow runs twice, or an external service changes.

We’re looking for someone who can build automations that are reliable, understandable, and maintainable, not just workflows that work once during a demo.

Role Details

• Position: AI Automation Engineer

• Type: Full-time

• Commitment: 40 hours per week

• Location: Remote

• Compensation: Based on experience and technical capability

Application Process

As part of your application, we’ll ask about your previous automation experience, your familiarity with n8n, and examples of systems you’ve built.

You’ll also be asked to provide a screen-share video of up to 10 minutes walking us through one automation you have built. Show us the workflow itself, explain what problem it solves, and walk us through the decisions you made while building it.

We care more about your ability to build, explain, and maintain real automation systems than about specific degrees or certifications.
